BEDFORDSHIRE - GENERAL A:  A428 Bedford to Northampton - Johnw wrote (on January 09, 2001):  “Went out last night with my wife to a lay-by just outside village called Yardley Hastings.  She stripped to just stockings in car and then we fucked.  Two other cars were there with single guys in.  One came across and started to wank outside the car.  My wife wound the window down the sucked the guy until he spunked on her face and tits.  We would like to meet with a couple or a woman with a shaven cunt, as my wife wants her first taste of another woman.  If she gets that, then she will let the husband be the first to fuck her up the arse!  Let us know if you would like to meet, we would!”

D:  Brogborough - “Very close to M1 J13 on the A421 travelling in the direction of Bedford from the Motorway.  It is predominantly (but not exclusively) used by gays.  On entering the site drive up the service road and keep going past the entrance to the site proper.  At the end of the service road is a path leading straight on.  Take this, and on the left are fields, on the right are woods.  Both sides are used for sex…” and: “…I have had many an enjoyable evening with my wife, displaying from the safety of our car and for the benefit of lots of voyeurs at a place called Brogborough picnic site.  It can be found at M1 J13.  If you are heading northbound, as we are, as you leave the M1 turn towards Bedford and about half a mile on the left nearly at the top of the hill there is a left turn into a picnic site.  We have seen several other couples there as well as various gay men.  It seems a discreet place although it is checked regularly by the Police they only seem to be interested in the gay men and do no more to couples other than to ask if everything is okay…” “Does anyone know if couples visit this site? Never been disturbed by Police.  The east car-park is the best as the west car-park is mostly gays (the west has toilets, the east is near a model farm).  It really is highly recommended, secluded especially after dark.”  “This reservoir has a number of car parks / picnic areas around it, accessed on the B661 west of the A1 from Buckden roundabout.  I am told that these might be used, but as yet have no positive sightings, they certainly look ‘right’ however.”  And, in April 2000: “Two trips last week, both disappointing.  Three or four couples in total but all very furtive and shy!”  “Yes, I like a bit of Dogging and me and my good lady often give a show at Grafham Water to fellow Doggers…”  “There are two car-parks - one is on the Perry Road and the other is next to a ‘model farm’ - this car-park is more open but seems to be the better of the two.  I’ve been a few times recently and there hasn’t been anything happening.  It could be more of a summer place…”  “Have been to Grafham during a summer night - looks a great location - shielded from the road by a big hedge, but once in the car-park, it’s very open, and there’s an icy wind!  Not sure what it’d be like during the winter, and especially during our current excess of water!”   Paul wrote (October 2001): “I was at Grafham Water last night and two couples turned up at about 11:30pm… …about four blokes as well, we all had a great time… …it’s getting better again as a meeting place…”  “I was at Grafham Water yesterday (Tuesday) evening.  Both car parks were deserted - not even any gays / bisexuals.  What a waste of such a good location…”  “There ARE three car-parks, despite reports of only two that I’ve read… …there’s the two main car-parks with the gates.  Plus, if you go out past the Model Farm, past the car park there and into Grafham itself, the road has a branch to the left with a sign for a caravan park.  Go down here for a mile or so (it’s a dead end, so you can’t go too far!) and there’s a small, free, car park there.  However, I’ve been there and at the other two car-parks at all kinds of times and days and have yet to see anything at all…”  “…We have been there about twelve times in all the car-parks and it is a total waste of a super site.  We have only ever seen one other couple there and one or two single men.  Unless there is a dramatic change we shall give up going…”  Virgil agreed: “I agree. I have yet to see anything at all after too many visits to remember…”  Merve the Perve wrote re the fact that there’s only one eff in Grafham: “I know there is always one smartarse, and this time it just happens to be me, but Grafham Water only has one F.  There are three main car parks, all well sign posted, one for the Fisherman’s Lodge near Perry, one by the AWS water treatment works and the other is the other side of the lake where you can hire bikes and have a cup of tea (during the day, of course).  There is also one unofficial car-park down a little lane but very close to some houses and it wouldn’t be easy to find in the dark if you don’t know the area…”  “I have been to all three car-parks and not seen anything for ages!”  east_anglian_couple@yahoo.com wrote (November 2001): “Firstly we have to say that we’ve only recently found out about all this but we think it’s great, we’ve been missing all the fun it seems!  We are a married couple in our early 30s and we’ve been to Grafham before and had a few experiences but nothing particularly memorable, unfortunately.  We are hoping to visit Grafham on Saturday the third of November between 11:00pm and midnight and we usually go to the middle car park, just along from the water treatment works.  Really we just need a little help with meeting up with like-minded people and not getting hassled by the usual boy-racers that seem to frequent the car-parks!”  Paul wrote: “Grafham to me has always been a mystery… …great place… …but very seldom used… …the best times to turn up there are on Fridays and Saturdays… …always in the evenings at about 10:00pm… …for couples more local I would say give it a try… …two there last night and the night before…”  A big thank you from a well-satisfied Rachael and Matt (November 2001): “Just a quick thanks to all the guys that helped us with our first foray into serious Dogging tonight (Sunday 11th) in the model farm car-park.  We had a great time and most of you seemed to be thoroughly enjoying yourselves as well!  We feel that we must thank you all, you were all perfect gentlemen, no ‘window knocking’ or ‘door opening’ until we made it clear we were looking for more than just being watched and every request was accompanied by a ‘please’ and ‘thank you’, not difficult to do but rare to find in this day and age, we have found!   Grafham Water has a great WWW site that seems to only have serious members that do take notice of the Dogging rules and etiquette (unlike some we could mention but won’t!).  For anyone that was there, we were the couple in the grey Vauxhall Cavalier with the extremely horny wife and extremely happy hubby and we hope that all those involved will stay in touch, keep us posted on forthcoming plans or just drop us a quick ‘Hi’, we’d be interested to hear what you guys thought of the nights entertainment, not too sure if we went about it the right way or not!”  “Grafham Water is getting busy on Fridays and Saturdays, but don’t bother turning up before 11:00pm (ish)… …then it gets a lot more sexy!”  “I tried Grafham once before but found nobody there and that was in the summer.  Probably I was in the wrong place…”  That Wise Old Dogger Walter Warthog (warthog2306@yahoo.co.uk) wrote (also in November 2001) in reply: “IMHO anyone who asks where the ‘correct’ place for Dogging is has missed the point.  There is no ‘correct’ place, sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you arrange to meet.  The luckiest place at Grafham for me has always been the north car park by the model farm, however I have also been lucky in the south car park. Good Doggers are patient, persistent people.  We spend a lot of time in cold dark car parks waiting and every now and then we get lucky…”  “I have had lots of evenings looking at trees, I have also had some fantastic evenings there, best for numbers was hooking up with five separate couples in one evening.  The most memorable evening was one cold night in January with two ‘twenty-something’ girls putting on a les show with a huge dildo in a camper… …I was one of three cold chaps who got to watch (but not join in)… …but after they finished their show, one of the girls looked after our needs and warmed us up… …one by one!”  Ken wrote (November 2001): “I was at both middle and Model Farm car-parks on Saturday, middle car-park there were two MPV (minibus) vehicles, one with interior light on, I made all the patient polite signals but I think they had found their ‘friends’ for the night, went across to the Model Farm car-park and there were two cars parked close together, again I think I was too late and didn’t want to interrupt the ‘flow’, never mind, next time maybe…”  Another, rather more satisfied, Dogger wrote: “To all you couples and Doggers, I still do suggest Grafham Water as the place to go now… …five weekends in a row I have had two or three couples turning up at about 10:30pm till 2:00am wanting to have some fun… …everyone has had some fun… …it’s near Huntingdon…”  A wide variation of opinion here, for some reason, but at least we have the spelling sorted out, eh? 

And a footnote: After much ‘talking up’ of Grafham, a bunch of Doggers were sorry to discover that the ‘women’ they’d been getting led on by with invites to a public gang-bang at Grafham on various WWW sites were in fact… …men.  At least they were dressed up as women!  As one sadder, but wiser, Dogger wrote (November 2001): “Well, after looking forward to Grafham and hoping to see possibly two playful girls / women i.e. Rosie and, or Claire, I was at a loss when I discovered that Rosie is actually a guy who likes to dress in women’s clothing and on talking to a few of the other Doggers who go there on a regular basis I was also soon to find out that Claire is a guy too.  How sad for me and all the other Doggers who arranged to get themselves there for the event.  As for both of these people posting pics of themselves on the net (supposedly of them in action) I’m afraid to say that according to my fellow Doggers the pics are not of Rosie or Claire.  Just another of life’s lessons: What appears too good to be true, probably is!”   F:  Dunstable - “Dunstable Downs car-park between Dunstable and Studham is very good in early evenings…” 

G:  Northampton - “Big pull in lay-by on the A43, six miles north of Northampton, heading towards Kettering.  Mostly weekend action.  You name it, it happens…” H:  Sandy - “East of Sandy on B1042 road to Potton, at ‘The Locomotive’ pub, turn left (north) into a narrow road past Deepdale Water Gardens.  This leads into woods adjacent to the entrance to Sandy Heath TV mast.  Beyond here the track continues as a bridle-way through to the Sandy to Everton road. Some maps show this as a public road all the way, but I doubt this!  The bridle-way section at the north end is often used for discreet daytime meetings, I have seen a number of two car meets here although have not pursued this further yet…”
