The car-parks officially close at ‘dusk’ or 9:00pm depending on which sign you believe, but access is normally OK right through the night. If you go, check the maps on the notice boards. Leave M6 at J7, take A34 towards Birmingham. Turn left at large traffic light junction in Great Barr. Follow the signs for Barr Beacon. Drive through Barr Beacon (there may be some action) and back onto the main road. Take next right into another Barr Beacon parking area (there is normally more action here).Two car-parks, open common land so plenty of room for outdoor ‘activity’, myself and my wife have both watched and fucked here, there also appears to be some swinging activity although we have not taken part

One, the smaller of the two, has no ‘return’ so you have to turn in the road to get out again. In over seven years of visiting Barr Beacon and Sandwell Valley, on a regular basis, I have never seen any trouble. You and others describe drugs, boy racers etc, this may be so on the large side of the Beacon but not once have they bothered a couple or single that I know too. There are always some idiots who don’t respect Dogging rules, but I can assure any couple, that this type of behaviour is quickly stamped out by other Doggers. As a couple you would not even know it had happened! Barr Beacon and Sandwell Valley are safe places where the couple are in charge and others respect your wishes NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE! Relax and enjoy the experience, if you do not want the person or persons by your vehicle ask them nicely to leave you alone as you are not doing anything at the moment. Don’t start shouting and balling as this often offends! I for one feel very safe when I take my partner there…” Shouting AND balling eh? Better just keep to the screaming and fucking, then, eh?

They do have better things to devote Police resources to. As far as I am aware many of the couples going to Barr Beacon and the old Airport do so as a way of rounding off their evening.
